Well, it looks like summer 2015 is right around the corner and I for one couldn’t be more excited! I think I made the right decision this year not to work summer school. I have enough to keep me busy between my private clients, this podcast, and an app I’m working on.
It’s now been 18 months since I launched the podcast and I’m happy to say my experiment so far is a success. I was never quite sure how many speechies listened to podcasts. That answer still eludes me, but there are more than enough listeners to propel me to create more episodes. Selfishly, I’m realizing lately how much I personally gain from this podcast. I get to meet interesting new people while expanding my knowledge in the field. So despite the time and cost investment (booking, editing, mics, etc.), I find this whole project to be a win-win at least for me. 🙂
So I’ll end this brief post with yet another plea: if you have a guest or show idea in mind, please don’t hesitate to send your idea/name(s) my way. Here are a few specific show ideas I have percolating right now:
1. Tips to getting into U.S. graduate schools (at least 2 listeners asked for this).
2. More episodes on apps (creating apps, using apps, favorite apps for specific goals)
3. Yes, I still want to do “a day in the life of…” (see previous post).
Thanks as always for listening and have a great summer (or winter, depending on your location)
p.s. Here are a couple of behind the scenes pics of Erik Raj & Tommy Avallone working on their children’s show. I wish them great success with this project!
